This is a simple idea, but it is one that many people do not know.<\/p>\n\n

In modern beekeeping, it is common practice to harvest most of the honey at the end of summer. After that, beekeepers often feed the bees sugar syrup to help them survive the winter.<\/p>\n\n

However, honey is not just a product that bees make for us.
It is their natural winter food.<\/p>\n\n

Honey contains complex sugars, enzymes, minerals, antioxidants, and natural compounds that bees produce from flower nectar. These nutrients are important for the health of the colony and help bees survive the long winter months.<\/p>\n\n

Sugar syrup, on the other hand, is only a simple carbohydrate. It provides energy, but it does not contain the same natural nutrients that honey provides.<\/p>\n\n

Scientific research shows that honey includes many bioactive compounds and enzymes that are not present in sugar syrup. These compounds support bee health and immunity.
